A lavish (and expansive) dining room with an old fashioned fire place and wooden pillars, it has an old world charm. On top of the dining is a library with books and metarials on Plantation, Nature and a range of other subjects.
You’ll catch the happily distracting whiff of culinary delights that await
you in our kitchen! Dining at Windermere is as unique an experience as
any. And it’s not just the delightful spread on the menu. It’s the romance
of rustic simplicity that piques your taste. All with a distinct taste that can only be Windermere.
We respect everything that
we borrow from nature and
try our best to return the
favour. For instance, we
use energy efficient lighting
all over the estate. A bio-gas
plant provides us all the
fuel we need for cooking.
And water used around
our premises is recycled and
used in our gardens. As of
now, we are also experimenting resolutely through many trials
and errors to set up a
vermi-compost unit in our estate,
which should enable us to pursue organic farming—hopefully
The bags and notepads used at Windermere are of recycled paper
made by children suffering from
disabilities at the nearby Shrishti Welfare Centre run by Tata Tea.
